About Us

The Office of Sponsored Projects (OSP) supports UNM main campus and each of its four branch campuses (Valencia, Gallup, Los Alamos & Taos) to further extramural sponsored research at the university. As a centralized compliance office, OSP works closely with faculty, staff and external sponsors to ensure university compliance throughout the sponsored project lifecycle.

OSP is comprised of individuals with a wealth of knowledge and experience in research administration. The OSP staff provide support covering proposal submission, award facilitation, subaward issuance and contract negotiations. Each department at UNM is assigned specific OSP staff members to provide tailored support to their individual project needs.

In this post-pandemic world, OSP offers flexible working arrangements to our staff comprised of fully on site, remote and hybrid options.
